BDC2002 General Operating Instructions
Make sure the stirrer is securely mounted as specified in the installation instruc-
tions. Ensure the mixing paddle or impeller is securely attached at the desired
position.
The stirrer is now ready for use to mix liquids and liquid/solid solutions. Appro-
priate impeller and container specifications must be determined by the operator,
ensuring that all safety instructions are followed.
Keypad Functions
Power Button - Turns the stirrer motor on and off. When initially turned
on, stirrer will spin at 40 rpm following a 5 second delay. The last set
speed is remembered.
Increase Button - Increases the speed by one rpm. If pressed within
five seconds of the stirrer being turned on it will stir at the last speed
before powered off.
Decrease Button - Decreases the speed by one rpm. If pressed within
five seconds of the stirrer being turned on it will stir at 40 rpm.
Light Power Button - Turns the light on and off. The stirrer must be
plugged in for the light to function.
Safety is built into this stirrer. When it is turned on it pauses for 5 seconds before
it starts to mix. The last speed used is displayed on the LED. The user has three
options.
1. Do nothing. The stirrer will start to stir at 40 rpm after five seconds.
2. Press the increase button and the stirrer will start to stir at the last speed set
before powered off. This speed is displayed.
3. Press the decrease button and the stirrer will start to stir at 40 rpm.
LED Display
Numeric value reflects speed (rpm). A solid LED dot indicates the Auto Start fea-
ture is enabled (see Auto Start). A "soft start" has been incorporated into the stirrer.
When the increase or decrease buttons are pressed and held, the speed ramps
smoothly so that getting to the speed you require is quick and easy.
Display Codes
OL Indicates an overload condition. The load is too great for the stirrer and must
be reduced. To reset stirrer turn power off and back on.
