Make sure that the barrier bag is not damaged. The
performance of the filter might be reduced if the bag has
lost vacuum.
In this case, use a suitable E-set with an undamaged
barrier bag.
The E-set must always be packed and stored in the
PARAT plastic housing including the base and cover until
use.
1. Open the casing of Dräger PARAT 3160/3260.
2. Dispose of the expired device in the barrier bag.
3. Put the unused E-set with the barrier bag in the red base of the
housing and close with the transparent cover.
Make sure that no material is jammed between the two halves.
4. Attach the sealing strap and close it with a new security tag. Check
seal for correct fit and integrity.
After replacement of the E-set, the overall service life of the filtering
escape device ends with the new expiry date on the barrier bag.
7 Maintenance
The filtering escape devices must only be serviced by qualified
personnel. The barrier bag must be replaced after six years or after
unintended opening
