Safety and operating instructions
Start and stop
1.
Connect the hoses to the power source by
means of the quick-release couplings.
2.
Start the pump by letting the hydraulic oil
run through and thereby determine the
direction of rotation.
3.
The correct rotation is counterclockwise seen
from below. If rotation is clockwise, check
the hoses. Incorrect connection may result in
leaks and damage to the hydraulic motor.
4.
Grease the bearing in the pump housing
through the grease nipple in the bearing
housing (3 shots). All quality types of grease
are applicable.
5.
The suction strainer and base plate must
always be fitted to the pump.
6.
Fit the discharge hose. Discharge hoses must
be able to withstand a pressure of min. 4 bar
(60 psi).
7.
Start the power source and allow it to run for
a few minutes to warm up the hydraulic oil.
8.
WAP 3 pump only: Attach a rope or other
device to the handle of the pump and lower
the pump into the water.
9.
Activate the control valve of the power
source to start the hydraulic oil flow.
10.
When pumping is complete, activate the
control valve to stop the hydraulic oil flow.
11.
Stop the engine of the power source.
Connection to hydraulic
power source
For connection use high-pressure hoses (inside
diameter ½", which as a minimum are designed
for a working pressure of 200 bar (2900 psi). We
recommend the use of double wire-braided hoses
that better withstand outside wear. The pump
socket "P" (female quick-release coupling) is oil
inlet (pump), and the pump socket "T" (male
quick-release coupling) is oil outlet (tank).
Ensure that the power source you plan to use is
compatible with the model of submersible pump
being used. Otherwise, both the power source and
the pump might be harmed. Check the "Technical
data" in this instruction book and compare the
flow rate with the technical specifications in the
instruction book for the power source.

Connecting hoses
Prepare the power source
Turn the by-pass valve to the OFF position.
Stop the engine.
Inspect the couplings
Make sure the couplings are clean and
serviceable.
Connect the hoses to the pump
Attach the return line hose.
Attach the feed line hose.
Rotate the collar on the female coupling to
secure the coupling.
Check the hydraulic oil level
Start the engine and run the power source to fill
up the hydraulic circuit.
Check the hydraulic oil level.
Disconnecting hoses
Prepare the power source
Turn the by-pass valve to the OFF position.
Stop the engine.
Remove the hoses
Rotate the collar on the female coupling.
Release the return line hose.
Release the feed line hose
Protective caps
Fit protective caps over the ports to prevent
contamination.
Maintenance
general
Regular maintenance is a fundamental prerequisite
for the machine to continue to be safe and
efficient.
Do not use a machine that is due for regular
service. Rectify any defects found during regular
maintenance before clearing the machine for use.
