Electrical system for towing hitch
Installing the electrical kit
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the spare wheel.
3. If necessary, remove the following covers and panels:

In the luggage compartment
Luggage compartment bottom covering

Covering of the rear end plate
-
Covering of the right and left trunk side
-
Covering under the rear seat bench
-
4. Bore a hole of 39 mm for the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/8) on the left-hand side of the spare
wheel well.
5. Starting in the luggage trunk, lead the socket end of the cable harness through the cable
leadthrough to the outside and from there to the socket holder plate (Fig. 1/9).
6. Insert the rubber grommet into the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/8).
Installing the socket
7. Press the contact insert into the socket housing and push the rubber grommet towards the
socket.
8. Screw the socket onto the socket holder plate (Fig. 1/9) using the supplied screws and nuts.
Connecting the tail lights
9. Lay the cable end with the left-side marking to the left-hand tail light (Fig. 1/7).
10. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the left tail light and connect it to the matching
counterparts on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
11. Lay the cable end with the right-side marking along the rear end plate to the right-hand tail
light (Fig. 1/12).
12. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the right tail light and connect it to the matching
counterparts on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
Connecting the rear fog lamp and the back-up light
13. Measure and identify the cables of the vehicle's cable harness (Fig. 1/5) and connect the rear
fog lamp as described in Fig. 2.

Note
Use appropriate measuring instruments to measure the vehicle signals!
14. To connect the back-up light, connect the green cable with the brown vehicle cable.
15. Install the supplied plug-in connectors (Fig. 2/4) and let them lock into place.
