Intended Use
The HEINE
LAMBDA 100 Retinometer is intended to examine the potential visual

acuity of patients with cataracts or other lens opacities. The device contains viewing
optics and a battery-powered illumination unit. It should only be operated by qualified
medical personnel within a professional healthcare facility.
For U.S. only:

Setting up
To set up the HEINE
the HEINE battery handle or plug it on the HEINE rechargeable handle.
Verify that the lamp voltage complies with the supply voltage of the handle.
The coloured marking on the bottom of the lamp shows you the lamp voltage:
White ring = HEINE XHL
only for use with the HEINE Battery handle
Red ring = HEINE XHL
only for use with the HEINE Rechargeable Handle
