6. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

Install the energiser vertically on a wall. You can use the included screws for this. A
practical clip-mount bracket (item no.: 41150) is also available as a separate accessory.
Two clips are required for installing the VOSS.farming impuls series. This lets you install
the energiser on a conventional DIN rail.
The VOSS.farming impuls can withstand all weather conditions such as rain, splash
water, sunshine, high temperatures and frost. However, we recommend that you place
the VOSS.farming impuls somewhere that offers protection against the weather, such
as a house wall, (roofed) shelter, stable, box or in an enclosed space such as a garage,
summer house, carport, shed or workshop.
TIP: Before connecting the VOSS.farming impuls to your fence, you can check
that it is working properly.
Unscrew both terminal nuts (5 and 6), insert the plug (1) into a socket and turn on the
energiser (4). The operating mode LED (2) will illuminate blue continuously and the fence
indicator LED (3) will flash green in sync with the electrical pulses. For further testing,
hold the shaft of a screwdriver on one of the connectors whilst moving the tip of the
screwdriver slowly towards the other connector. Just before the point touches the
connection, you will see a small and safe spark.
If the operating mode LED (2) does not light or the fence indicator LED (3) does not flash
green, or you do not see a small spark, please check the mains voltage and connection.
If there are no problems with the mains connection, the energiser must be inspected by
a specialist.
