Maintenance
The filters can get dirty during use and therefore must be checked regularly:
Clean the filters as described below.
Keep the checking and cleaning intervals given below.
Replace damaged or deformed filters immediately.
Your appliance is equipped with the following 5 filters:
Central laminar filter (Fig. 15/1)
- Cleaning: The central laminar filter is protected by filter sieve and filter fleece. Both do extend the
checking and servicing intervals of the central laminar filter, but they by no means eliminate the need for
checking / cleaning the central laminar filter regularly.
Clean this filter according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month
chapter 4.3, „Cleaning / changing central laminar filter and motor protection filter"
- Changing: If the central laminar filter is very dirty or it is no longer possible to clean it, replace it with a
new one.
chapter 4.3, „Cleaning / changing central laminar filter and motor protection filter"
Filter sieve (Fig. 15/2) around the central laminar filter
- Cleaning: The filter sieve is protected by the filter fleece, but this by no means eliminates the need for
checking / cleaning the filter sieve regularly.
Clean this filter according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month
chapter 4.2, „Checking and cleaning filter fleece and filter sieve"
Filter fleece (Fig. 15/3) around the filter sieve
- Cleaning: To maintain suction performance, clean the filter fleece after each vacuuming session.
chapter 4.2, „Checking and cleaning filter fleece and filter sieve"
- Changing: If the filter fleece is very dirty or damaged or if it is no longer possible to clean it, replace it with
a new one.
chapter 4.2, „Checking and cleaning filter fleece and filter sieve"
Motor protection filter (Fig. 15/4)
- Cleaning: according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month
chapter 4.3, „Cleaning / changing central laminar filter and motor protection filter"
- Changing: every 6 months
chapter 4.3, „Cleaning / changing central laminar filter and motor protection filter"
Exhaust filter (Fig. 15/5)
- Cleaning: according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month
chapter 4.4, „Cleaning / changing the exhaust filter"
- Changing: every 6 months
chapter 4.4, „Cleaning / changing the exhaust filter"
1. Switch off the appliance and remove the dust container
2. Hold the dust container low over a dustbin.
3. Separate the cover from the dust container by Twisting it in the "open" (Fig. 16/A ) direction.
4. Take the cover with the central laminar filter out of the dust container (Fig. 16/B).
5. Now pull the filter fleece off the filter sieve (Fig. 17/A).
6. Check the filter sieve for possible soiling.
7. If the filter sieve is also dirty, take it off the lid by twisting it counter-clockwise (Fig. 17/B).
8. If necessary, rinse the filter in clear cold or hand warm running water until all dirt is removed.
ATTENTION:
The filters are washable, but not suitable for cleaning in washing machines or dishwashers. Also, do not use
detergents or brushes with hard bristles for to clean the filters. Let the filters dry for approx 24 hours at room
temperature after cleaning them. Only put them back into the appliance when they are completely dry.
9. Also check / clean the central laminar filter and the motor protection filter on this occasion,
„Cleaning / changing central laminar filter and motor protection filter".
10. If the filter fleece is damaged or too dirty, replace it with a new one (ordering information
„Accessories/Spare Parts").
11. Put the filter sieve onto the bottom side of the cover in such a way that the tab engages the notch next to
the spring (Fig. 18/A1) as shown.
12. Turn the filter sieve clockwise until you hear and feel it snapping into place.
13. Push the new or cleaned filter fleece over the filter sieve (Fig. 18/B). Make sure that the filter fleece fits
properly so that it completely covers the mesh of the filter sieve.
14. Push the cover onto the dust container again. Make sure that the two vertical arrows correspond exactly
(Fig. 22). Fix the cover by turning it clockwise.
15. Put the dust container back into its holder.
16. Close the housing cover. The release buttons must click shut audibly. Check that the housing cover is fitted
