INSERTING AND REMOVING THE
BATTERY PACK (FIG. G)
Only use the Oregon® brand battery packs
specified in these operating instructions
Align the groove in the battery with the rails
inside the battery port Firmly insert the battery
pack into the powerhead's battery port, pressing
forward until it clicks as it locks into place
To remove the battery pack, lift up on the battery
release, grasp the sides of the battery pack and
remove it
OPERATING THE EDGER
WARNING: Always hold the edger away
from the body keeping clearance between
the body and the tool. Any contact with an
attachment cutting head can result in burns
and/or other serious personal injury.
If debris becomes wrapped around the
attachment, release the variable speed trigger,
remove the battery pack, and remove the debris
DEPTH WHEEL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (FIG. H)
Disconnect the battery from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or transporting.
• Loosen the wingnut on the depth wheel
counterclockwise (1)
• Adjust the wheel upwards to increase the depth
of the cut or downwards to decrease the depth
of the cut (2)
• Tighten the wingut clockwise

Maintenance

WARNING: A battery operated tool
with the battery pack inserted can start
accidentally. Remove the battery pack
before inspecting, cleaning, or performing
maintenance.
CAUTION: Inspect the edger regularly.
Regular inspection is the first step to proper
maintenance. Follow the guidelines below to
maximize safety and satisfaction. Have any
damaged or excessively worn parts replaced
immediately.
CAUTION: When cleaning the edger, do not
immerse in water or other liquids. Do not use
a pressure washer to clean the edger.
REPLACING THE CUTTING BLADE (FIG. I)
Disconnect the battery from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or transporting.
• Place the edger so that the blade faces upwards
• Insert the blocking pin, found in the combination
tool provided, as far as possible into the bore;
push lightly and rotate back and forth a little
together with the capture washer until the shaft
is blocked (1)
• Fit a socket wrench onto the capture bolt head
• Turn bolt clockwise and remove it (2)
• Remove the capture washer
• Position the blade on the drive hub
WARNING: The collar (arrow) must engage
the hole in the blade.
• Fit the capture washer on the shaft and block
the shaft (3)
• Screw capture bolt counterclockwise onto shaft
and tighten
WARNING: The bolt must be in place and
properly tightened to prevent injury.
