RECEIVING MESSAGES FROM THE SATELLITE
While messages are being received, the reception level (1)
and current working processes (2) are displayed.
All of the messages located on the server are generally
retrieved, regardless of which falcon you have previously
selected in the selection list.
Following successful reception of the messages (3),
the connection to the satellite is terminated (4).
The system automatically reverts to the
TRACK FALCON dialogue box.
It is possible that you may need several attempts to pick up all of the messages from the satellite.
If the handheld device does not receive any satellite reception within five minutes, the communication is automatically
cut. In this case, please repeat message retrieval with START (5) and change location if necessary. These are normal
functional conditions and do not represent any technical defects.
NOTE: A total of max. 50 messages are stored on the IRIDIUM server at any one time for all paired falcon transmitters.
The server rejects each further message over this limit. To be able to store further messages on the server, the stored
messages must be retrieved using the handheld device. If the messages stored on the server are not retrieved within
five days, IRIDIUM deletes them at midnight the following day.
All messages on the server are also deleted if the oldest message has reached a storage time of five days on the server.
It is therefore recommended that the messages available be retrieved from the server on a regular basis.

DISPLAYING THE INFORMATION SENT BY THE FALCON
Out of all the messages received, the last message sent by the falcon is selected and displayed in the dialogue box (1).

Important information is displayed, including:
> Time
> Distance
> Altitude
(2)
(1)
> Own height of the tracker currently (GPS reception required)
> Battery in % of the transmitter at the time the message was sent
> Speed
> Position
Bearing navigation (2) also shows you the course direction and distance (linear distance) to the falcon.
Please ensure adequate GPS reception.
If you already have a second or third falcon in the search, you can also display the most up-to-date information.
To do this, choose the falcon you wish to enquire about in the CHOOSE FALCON dialogue box (3).
NOTE: In order to ensure that the data you are seeing is always the latest data, regularly retrieve messages
from the satellite during the search process. It is recommended that you orientate yourself to the periodic
times set in Mode 1 and the transmission times set in Mode 2.
