TO DISCONNECT
• Disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Remove the negative clamp (Black) "-" from terminal "-" of
the battery.
• Remove the positive clamp (Red) "+" from terminal "+" of the
battery.
• Connect again the vehicle positive connection, to the positive
terminal of the battery.
• Connect again the vehicle negative connection, to the negative
terminal of the battery.
SELECT THE CHARGE MODE
You may charge a variety of batteries in different environment
temperatures using different charge modes.
Compared to conventional automobile chargers, the device features
a special function to reuse a dry / rechargeable battery.
You may recharge a battery that is completely dry / rechargeable
battery. The safe charge process protects against a faulty
connection and short circuit.
Integrated electronics will not turn ON the automobile charger
after being connected but only after the charge mode is selected.
If the connector clamps, connected to the battery and device are
connected to the power supply, you will read "Connected" in the
digital display.
After selecting the load mode, you will read "Charging" in the
display. Once the charge is complete, you will read "Charged" in
the display.
A display that is continuously lit when the battery is not completely
charged is indicating error.
• In this event, verify the clamps connection. The clamps shall
be connected correctly to the battery and the right battery
type shall be selected. If the display is continuously lit, the
battery may be defective.
DIGITAL DISPLAY BUTTON
It is used to change between the voltage digital display and the
progress of the charge in percentages (battery 100%). Use this
button to change the different displays:
• Battery 100%: Indicates in percentages the charging process
in a connected battery.
• Voltage: Indicates the voltage value of the connected battery.
• Alternator %: Energy output in percentage.
BATTERY TYPE BUTTON
Use this button to set up the battery type to be charged. Types
of battery may be selected.
The type of the battery shall be selected with absolute accuracy
before starting the charging process:
• Regular 12 V: These batteries (acid lead batteries) are typically
used in automobiles, trucks and motorcycles. These have
ventilation caps and usually are labeled "Low maintenance" or
"Maintenance-free". This type of battery is designed to transfer
energy fast (for example, starting a motor). "Regular" batteries
shall not be used for "deep cycle" applications.
• Deep cycle 12 V: These batteries are typically labeled as "Deep
cycle" or "Marine". This type of batteries are typically larger
from other batteries, delivering less energy in a short span,
but transmit energy longer. These batteries resist several
discharge cycles.
• AGM Battery (with absorbing glass separator) / Gel 12 V: AGM
batteries es typically a deep-cycle battery. Deliver a better
6
"life" when recharged before being dry more than 50%. When
fully discharged. can support around 300 load cycles. The GEL
type battery, is similar to the AGM battery. The charge voltage
is lower than the rest of the acid lead batteries. Using the
wrong charger in a gel battery will result in power reduction
or shorter life span.
• Regular 6 V :elect this mode for conventional 6 V
BATTERY START BUTTON
Use this button to change the following options:
• FAST LOAD: Very fast load (recommended in outdoors low
temperature / winter).
• NORMAL LOAD: Loading normal process (normal speed).
• STARTING: Delivers 75 A to bridge connect a weak or dry
battery to start the motor.
Quit this mode only disconnecting the plug.
CAUTION
START UP
WARNING
Connect always as described and in the correct order. Otherwise,
the electronic equipment in the vehicle is damaged. Proceeding
against the specifications remains under your own risk and
responsibility.
CAUTION
This function is not adequate for batteries below
45 Ah. This function could damage batteries under 45 A.
Diesel vehicles and large volume vehicles in part require amperes
over 75 A to start.
NOTE: The charger features an analysis program to protect the
battery against damage (for example, sulphation, of fast voltage
drop) particularly during start up.
The device will not start to protect the battery in starting up with
severely dry or very worn out batteries. During the process, the
battery is loading with much smaller current (the word "Charging"
lights up). The display continues reading "0"
In this case, the start function cannot be used. It protects the
battery against damage.
First, the battery shall be charged. For this purpose, you may use
the "Fast load" or "Normal load" functions.
• Connect the cable of the automobile charger to the power
supply.
• Connect the red connector clamp to the positive terminal in
the battery (The positive terminal is marked with the "+" symbol
and a black mark).
• Connect the black connector clamp to the black terminal in the
battery. (The negative terminal is marked with the "-" symbol
and a black mark).
• If the connector clamps are connected correctly, the automobile
charger will select the correct type of battery. You can check
the field of options "Type of battery" and, if necessary, charge
pressing the battery type button.
• Now, select the "Start" button using the start button 3. The
automobile charger will analyze the charge level of the battery.
The screen will show "0".
• Start the vehicle. The screen will show a 5 seconds countdown
(out of which 2 seconds are for preparation / analysis function
and 3 seconds to start the function to 75 A) when you need the
automobile charger to start (previously analyzed by the
automobile charger). During the countdown, the automobile
charger delivers 75 A briefly to bridge connect the battery and
start the automobile. Following, there is 180 seconds pause to
protect the battery. Now, the cycle restarts (2 seconds for
preparation / analysis function and 3 seconds to start the
function to 75 A / 180 seconds pause).
• To disconnect the device, first, remove the clamps from the
terminal and disconnect the cable.
