Setting the telephone

The programming procedures described below enable you to configure your tele-
phone differently from the factory settings—based on your individual needs and
connection conditions.
You can make all settings in one programming procedure, and only at the end press
the Programming key to complete the procedure.
If you make a mistake during programming, you can
-- Replace the handset and repeat the programming procedure
-- Undo all of your changes by resetting the telephone to the factory settings (but
this also deletes all of your stored destinations)
Setting the external line codes / loop disconnect codes (ELC/LDC)
(max. 3 characters)
(Factory setting: empty)
Lift the handset.

Press these keys to initiate programming.
Press this key.

Enter the first ELC.
Press this key if you would like to program additional ELC's.
..
Enter the second ELC.
Press this key if you would like to program additional ELC's.
..
Enter the third ELC.
Press this key twice to program an LDC.
..
Enter the LDC.
P
Press this key to complete the programming procedure.
