2 If the cable is locked, press the red release button to
eject the plug head. To avoid possible property dam-
age or personal injury, retract the cable.
3 Press and hold down the red release button.
4 Slide the battery cover from the body of the DEFCON
Ultra and then let go of the release button.

5 Insert the new batteries. Press and hold down the red
release button again and slide the battery cover back
into place.
6 Let go of the release button and check that the battery
cover is secure.
