Sub-roof welding procedure
• The welding pressure must be adjusted to the material to be welded (see Welding Parameters, Welding
Pressure, Page 23).
• The hot wedge temperature must be reached.
• Guide the welding machine into the overlapped sealing membrane or
film as far as the end stop position of the lower (30) / upper (29)
guide plates.
• Adjust the overlap separation of the lower (30) / upper (29) guide
plates as required by slackening the hexagon socket screw.
• After adjustment, tighten the hexagon socket screw.
• Switch on the drive motor with the key
• Engage the hot wedge (7).
• Apply pressure to the lever for welding pressure (9).
Start of welding process
• The film or sealing membrane is automatically adjusted to the welding seam width of 30 mm by the lower (30) /
upper (29) guide plates and welded.
• Check the welded seam (welded bead / weld path).
If required, correct the speed with the keys
• During the welding process, the machine is guided automatically by the tilted idler wheels (28) and the lower
(30) / upper (29) guide plates. Corrections can be made using the guide handle (13).
End of welding process
• Release the lever for welding pressure (9), pull back the hot wedge (7) with the handle (8).
• Switch off the drive motor with key
(press both at the same time) on the keyboard (4).
After completion of the welding work, allow the hot wedge (7) to cool down and remove the
