6.3.2 Hydraulic connections (Fig. 17 ÷ Fig. 20)
• Connect the appliance to the heating system
using the flow and return pipes (G-H).
• Set up a disposable drain pipe, of suitable di
ameter, to which to connect the drain of the
safety valve (J).
• For versions Jp ACS connect the domestic
water inlet pipe to the coupling (K) and the do
mestic water outlet pipe to the coupling (L).
If necessary, make sure that the precharge of
the closed expansion vessel (C) is correct.
MAXIMUM OpERATING pRESSURE: 2.5 bar.
It is good practice to clean the system
before rendering it operative.
In order to always ensure high efficiency and
durability of the appliance, it is recommended,
in the presence of hard water (1830 °F), to use a
softener. If necessary use an antialgae additive
for the technical water.
6.4 Boiler system fluid filling/top-up
mode (Fig. 21 ÷ Fig. 23)
Before performing the operations listed below,
be sure to have connected both the flow and
return pipes (see par. 6.3.2).
The options are as follows:
1) Connect a water pipe coming from the aq
ueduct to the filling fitting (K), open the relief
valve (B) (Fig. 18), open the loading tap (O),
thus allowing the water to flow until the ap
pliance is completely full. Close the relief valve
and wait until the minimum operating pres
sure is reached (1 bar), which can be checked
on the pressure gauge on the boiler.
2) Connect a water pipe coming from the aq
ueduct to the system drain (I), open the relief
valve, open the drain tap (M), thus allowing the
water to flow until the appliance is completely
filled. Close the relief valve and wait until the
minimum operating pressure is reached (1
bar), which can be checked on the pressure
gauge on the boiler.
3) In the event that the domestic system is
equipped with a manual or automatic topup
system, the appliance can be loaded through
the flow and return pipes.
44
Open the relief valve (B) (Fig. 18), open the bypass
tap in the anticondensation valve (N), thus
making the water flow from the system until the
boiler is completely filled. Close the relief valve
and wait until the minimum operating pressure
is reached (1 bar), which can be checked on the
pressure gauge on the boiler.
Close the bypass tap present in the anti conden
sation valve (Fig. 23).
