XCHANGING THE
The aerial feed cables supplied as standard are of adequate
length for most applications.
However, aerials with different feed cable lengths are also
available for special applications:
(# 89 3022): overall length 230 mm (standard)
(# 89 3020): overall length 400mm
See Chapter (
8.1) for details of aerial installation.
! When disconnecting a receiver aerial always pull on the
connector itself - never on the feed cable ("the wire")!
! Caution: if the active part of the aerial (the last 30 mm)
should suffer damage, the aerial must be replaced! The
same applies to damaged aerial feed cables.

LIMINATING OVERLOAD SITUATIONS AT
INDIVIDUAL SERVO SOCKETS
The RX-9/12/16-DR pro M-LINK receiver types are fitted as
standard with fuses which protect the individual servo sockets
(1, ..., 9/12/16) and the sensorports (S). The maximum load
tolerated by a fuse, and therefore by an individual servo channel
1, ..., 9/12/16 or sensorport S is a continuous 5.0 A; the peak
load for ten seconds is 7.5 A (depending on cooling and other
arrangements, ...).
! Caution: never connect a receiver battery or a BEC
system directly to a servo socket or sensorport!
If you were to do this, the full current of the receiving system
(including all connected servos, speed controllers, gyros, ...)
would flow through this ONE servo socket. This could overload
that servo socket, and cause the corresponding fuse to blow. If
the fuse were to burn out, the result would be failure of the
power supply to the receiving system, and an inevitable crash.
For this reason the receiver battery should only ever be
connected to the sockets marked B/D or BATT!
If you wish to connect a speed controller with integral BEC
system to one of the servo sockets 1, ..., 9/12/16, then the
positive wire should be withdrawn from the UNI connector,
and the bare end insulated. In this case a separate receiver
battery must be used to supply the receiving system; this
should be connected to the socket marked B/D or BATT.
Alternatively the signal wire can be connected to one of the
servo sockets 1, ..., 9/12/16. In this case the positive and
negative wires can be connected to B/D or BATT (observe
correct pin assignment!).
! Note: if a servo connected to a receiver socket suddenly
stops working, you can assume that the fuse for this one servo
socket has blown due to overloading. The servo connected to
this socket should be subjected to a careful check before it is
used again.
Send the receiver to MULTIPLEX or an authorised MULTIPLEX
Service Centre for replacement of the fuse.
