Thank you for purchasing a Furman M-8x AR AC Line Voltage Regulator and congratulations on your choice. The M-8x AR has been designed with the unique
requirements of the entertainment industry in mind. Any application that requires clean, filtered, protected and regulated AC power for optimum performance
would benefit from the use of an M-8x AR.

To obtain best results from your Furman M-8x AR please be sure to read this manual carefully.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not expose your M-8x AR to rain or moisture.
Hazardous voltages are present inside the enclosure. Please do not remove the cover for any reason. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
1. Please read and observe all of the safety and operating instructions before the M-8x AR is operated or connected to mains power.
2. Retain these instructions for future reference.
3. The M-8x AR should not be used near water for example, near a bathtub, kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, etc.
4. Do not place the M-8x AR near sources of heat; such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat.
5. Route the power cord and other cables such that they are not likely to be walked on, tripped over, or stressed. Pay particular attention to the condition of
cords and cables at plugs, and the point where they exit from the M-8x AR. To prevent risk of fire or injury, damaged cords and cables should be replaced
immediately.
6. Clean the M-8x AR using a damp cloth only. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Never pour or spray any liquid on or into the M-8x AR.
7. When left unused for an extended period of time, the power cord of the M-8x AR should be unplugged from the outlet.
8. The M-8x AR should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
a. The power supply cord or the plug has been frayed, kinked, cut, or damaged.
b. Objects have fallen into or liquid has spilled into the unit.
c. The M-8x AR does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
d. The M-8x AR has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
9. The M-8x AR requires that a safety ground be present for proper operation. Any attempt to operate the M-8x AR without a safety ground is considered
improper operation and could invalidate the warranty.
