Maintenance
For maintenance, see fold-out page III, Figs. [9]
to [12].
Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and
grease with special valve grease (ref. No. 18 012).
Shut off cold and hot water supplies.
I. Thermostatic cartridge and non-return valve,
see Fig. [9].
1. Pull off knob (Y).
2. Unscrew screw (X) and pull off snap insert (W).
3. Pull off temperature control handle (V).
4. Remove escutcheon (R).
5. Remove mounting assembly (S) and escutcheon
mounting bracket (R2).
6. Pull off sleeve (T).
7. Remove clip (Z1).
8. Pull off stop ring (Z).
9. Remove adjusting nut (U) with overload unit (U1).
10.With a 22mm open-ended spanner, unscrew and
remove thermoelement (AB).
11. With a 10mm socket spanner, remove non-return
valve (AC).
Reassemble in reverse order.
The overload unit (U1) (left-hand thread) must be
screwed as far as possible in the adjusting nut (U).
Observe the correct installation position of the
stop ring (Z).
II. Aquadimmer, see Figs. [10] and [11].
1. Pull off knob (P).
2. Unscrew screw (O) and pull off snap inserts (N).
3. Pull off shut-off knob (M) and sleeve (L).
4. Remove splined adapter (K).
5. Unscrew and remove bush (J) with 19mm socket
wrench, pull off holder (I).
6. With a 19mm key, unscrew and remove
aquadimmer (AD).
Reassemble in the reverse order.
Observe the correct installation position!
In this connection, take care to ensure that the
semicircular locating flange (AE) projecting from the
aquadimmer unit coincides with the recess of the
housing, see fig. [11].
Readjustment is necessary after every maintenance
operation on the aquadimmer and thermostatic
cartridge (see "Adjustment").
III. Shower hose and filter, see Fig. [12].
1. Pull out shower hose (D) and remove handspray (G)
from taper nut (F).
2. Clean or replace filter (F2).
3. Unscrew and remove guide (D2).
4. Pull out the shower hose (D) until the lower hose
section projects.
5. Secure the lower hose section against slipping down
again.
6. Disconnect shower hose (D).
Reassemble in the reverse order.
IV. Unscrew and clean aerator (13 907), see fold-out
page II.
