Water droplets may build up in the funnel and drip onto the product
base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with
a clean, dry cloth after each use.
Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the warming plate. Never use
abrasive cleaners.
DESCALING
If you use hard water, scale deposits may appear on the coffee
maker parts. In order to maintain the operating efficiency please
descale the appliance according to the following instructions.
1. Prepare the descaling solution. Usually the ratio of water and
descaler is 4:1, for more detailed information please refer to
the instructions on descaler package. Please use "household
descaler". You may also use the citric acid (3 parts of citric acid
for 100 parts of water).
2. Fill the tank with the solution to the max level as indicated on
water gauge.
3. Put the glass carafe onto the warming plate.
4. Make sure the funnel is in its place.
5. Turn on the appliance and allow it to "brew" the descaling
solution.
6. Switch off the appliance after it has brewed 1 cup of the
descaling solution.
7. Let the solution work for 15 minutes and repeat steps 4-6.
8. Turn on the appliance and run off the solution until the water
tank is completely empty.
9. Rinse by operating the appliance with clear water at least 3
times.
