GENERAL USE

◆ Before stepping into your bindings, be sure to remove any dirt,
mud, snow, ice or other debris from the boot soles, including the
toes and heels (use a ski pole if necessary).
◆ Worn boot soles may seriously interfere with the release or
retention function of your bindings and increase your risk of injury.
Check the condition of the boot's soles regularly, and have them
inspected by a qualified ski shop if you have any questions.
◆ Black Diamond Equipment ski boots have been designed and
constructed exclusively for snow skiing. Any other use (such as
bobsledding, snowboarding, snow trekking) could be hazardous,
and Black Diamond Equipment has not verified the suitability of
these boots for any activity other than snow skiing.
◆ You will ski at your best with boots that fit right. Work carefully with
your Black Diamond Equipment dealer to be sure your boots are
fitted properly to your feet. Boots that are too large will not allow
you to transfer your leg motions to the skis, and boots that are too
small will cause you pain.
◆ Wear socks that are specific for winter sports. Make sure that
the size and thickness are suitable; the foot should feel snug and
comfortable inside the boots.

◆ Keep your boots and bindings clean. Dirt on your boots or bindings
can create unwanted friction in the system, which may interfere
with the release and retention functions of the system and increase
the risk of being injured. Ski equipment must always be properly
protected during transportation. Use ski bags and specific cover
for bindings.
◆ Clean the boots with soap and water. Avoid using any type of
chemical solution.
◆ Always dry the liner far from sources of heat such as radiators,
stoves, driers or fireplaces.
◆ Make sure the boots and liners are completely dry before storing
them for the summer or for a long period of time. When you do
store them, close the boots (but loosen foot closure devices), then
place them in a dry place (preferably inside their plastic bags) away
from heat and direct sunlight.
◆ Worn or damaged boots must be repaired or retired.
