7.3 POINTS OF INTEREST (POI)

This option allows you to save a specific point/location in the terrain where the hunt has taken
place onto the memory of the R2 Finder if we are interested in that exact location for some reason.
You can then return to this location by using the R2Finder. (Example: The place where the car is
parked when you do not know the area).
1. To add a point of interest to the R2 Finder, follow this path:
2. To list the points of interest stored in the R2 Finder, follow this path:
MENU>POI>LIST POI and press the "OK" key to select the point of interest.
Two options will be shown:
- GO TO: Will take you to the search screen which will indicate the direction of the point
- DELETE: To delete the point of interest.

7.4 R2 FINDER OPTIONS

7.4.1 COMPASS CALIBRATION

The R2 Finder receiver indicates the direction in which the collar that you want to locate is by
means of a magnetic compass. This compass must be calibrated with the earth's magnetic north.
In order for the compass direction to always be accurate, calibration must be performed in the
following cases:
a) The first time we use the R2 Finder.
b) If the compass has suffered magnetization, the effect will be disproportionate movements of
the direction indicator on the screen or the compass will remain in one direction.
If the compass gets locked, you can unlock by using the "CALIBRATE COMPASS" option. If it
does not get unlocked, take the magnet supplied with the R2 Finder and make it go for a few
seconds between the ON/OFF button and the keypad light sensor. (See Figure 1, parts of the
keyboard).
c) When changing hunting zone, especially if we move from an urban environment to a forest
one, as both have very different magnetic fields due to car density, electrical towers...
