Troubleshooting
If the Polaris cleaner displays the following
actions, a djustments m ay b e n ecessary t o r estore
performance. R efer t o e xploded p arts d iagram f or
part references.

P olaris is sluggish, running
with less power than normal.
Disconnect a nd c lean, i f n ecessary.

and swivels for leaks that could
cause loss of water pressure.
4. C heck the wheel RPM.
Polaris flies around the pool
and/or does not make contact
with the bottom.

than 32 RPM, unscrew the
pressure relief valve to decrease
water flow

adjusted when a restrictor is
installed.

Action:
Polaris does not back up.
Solution: 1. V erify the back-up valve
is cycling.
2. C heck the wheel RPM.
3. I f the bag is full, empty it.
4. If head float has water in it,
replace it.
5. M ake sure feed hose is floating.
Action:
Polaris only turns in one
direction.
Solution: 1. A djust the thrust jet.
2. M ake sure feed hose is floating.
Action:
F eed hose becomes tangled.
Solution: 1. R emeasure t he h ose t o v erify t hat
it i s a djusted t o t he p roper l ength
for the pool shape.
2. W ith t he P olaris o perating, c heck
that the swivels in the hose and
the h ose c onnections t urn f reely.
3. M ake sure feed hose is floating.
4. W ith the Polaris turned off, spin
each of the wheels. All wheels
should turn together.
Action:
S weep hose is sucked into
the vacuum tube.
Solution: 1. M ake s ure t he o pening a t t he e nd
of t he s weep h ose i s n ot b locked
by the sweep hose scrubber.
2. A djust t he s weep h ose t o a g entle
sweeping motion.
