Safety Rules for Adaptor
WARNING: READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
1.
Before using adaptor, read all instructions and cautionary
markings in this manual, on adaptor, battery, and product using
battery to prevent misuse of the products and possible injury or
damage.
2.
Do not use adaptor outdoors or expose to wet or damp
conditions. Water entering adaptor will increase the risk of
electric shock.
3.
Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the
adaptor manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric
shock, or injury to persons. Following this rule will reduce the
risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
4.
Do not abuse cord or adaptor. Never use the cord to carry the
adaptor. Do not pull the adaptor cord rather than the plug when
disconnecting from receptacle. Damage to the cord or adaptor
could occur and create an electric shock hazard. Replace
damaged cords immediately.
5.
Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on,
tripped over, come in contact with sharp edges or moving
parts or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. This will
reduce the risk of accidental falls, which could cause injury, and
damage to the cord, which could result in electric shock.
6.
Keep cord and adaptor from heat to prevent damage to
housing or internal parts.
7.
Do not let gasoline, oils, petroleum-based products, etc.
come in contact with plastic parts. They contain chemicals
that can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic.
8.
An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk
of fire and electric shock. If extension cord must be used, make
sure:
a. That pins on plug of extension cord are the same
number, size and shape as those of plug on adaptor.
b. That extension cord is properly wired and in good
electrical condition; and
c. That wire size is large enough for AC ampere rating of
adaptor as specified below:
Cord Length (Feet)
Cord Size (AWG)

9.
Do not operate adaptor with a damaged cord or plug, which
could cause shorting and electric shock. If damaged, have the
adaptor replaced by an authorized serviceman.
10. Do not operate adaptor if it has received a sharp blow, been
dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to an
authorized serviceman for electrical check to determine if the
adaptor is in good working order.
11. Do not disassemble adaptor. Take it to an authorized
serviceman when service or repair is required. Incorrect
reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
12. Unplug adaptor from outlet before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of electric
shock.
13. Disconnect adaptor from the power supply when not in
use. This will reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the
adaptor if metal items should fall into the opening. It also will
help prevent damage to the adaptor during a power surge.
14. Risk of electric shock. Do not touch uninsulated portion of
output connector or uninsulated battery terminal.
15. Do not charge product in a damp or wet location. Do not
use, store, or charge battery products in locations where
the temperature is less than 50°F or more than 77°F. Do not
store outside or in vehicles.
16. Recharge only with the adaptor specified by the
manufacturer. A adaptor that is suitable for one product may
create a risk of fire when used with another product.
17. Do not expose a battery product to fire or excessive
temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F may
cause explosion.
18. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery product outside the temperature range specified
in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside the specified range may damage the product and
increase the risk of fire.
19. This product has no user serviceable parts.
20. Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use
them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you loan
someone this tool, loan them these instructions also to prevent
misuse of the product and possible injury.
