Electrical installation and installation of accessory devices /
Operation
3.4
INSTALLATION OF MAGNETIC LIMIT SWITCH
• Place the magnetic limit switch in the guide (fi g.20-ref.1).
• Rotate the limit switch through 90° to secure it on the guide
with the connector (fi g.20-ref.2) positioned in the direction of
the motor unit.
• Insert the socket (fig.20-ref.3) in the limit switch
connector.
• Place the magnets (fi g.20-ref.4) on the chain in the correct
fully open and fully closed positions. Identify these positions
by moving the door using buttons P2 and P3 on the unit
(fi g.18).

SAFETY AND WARNING ACCESSORIES
CLOSING SAFETY PHOTOCELLS (not included)
• Install the safety closing photocells (Fig.21-ref.1 and 2) and
connect them following the instructions for the device used.
IMPORTANTE: if the photocells are not used then a jumper
must be inserted between the input for the photocells
and the COM terminal.
EXTERNAL FLASHING LIGHT (not included)
• Install and connect the fl ashing light to warn of door
movement and aerial (Fig.21-ref.3 and 4) by following the
instructions for the device used.
4. START-UP
• Connect the mains power supply (230 V AC).
Warning light DL1 (Fig.18) and the flashing light (if
connected) are switched ON after approximately 1
second to confi rm that the operator is connected to
the power.
During movement the fl ashing light fl ashes permanently and
the courtesy light LP1 is ON (switched OFF approximately
2 minutes after the end of movement).

CONTROLS AND REGULATIONS
• Remove the jumper JP1 (Fig.18) to select STEP-BY-STEP
functioning mode.
• Transmit a START pulse using either the button or the
remote control to start the fi rst opening cycle and verify
complete opening up to the limit switch.
• Press START again to start the closing cycle and verify
complete closing up to the limit switch.
Note: the unit detects the length of the stroke after
the fi rst complete closing cycle (from limit switch to
limit switch) when the unit is fi rst connected to the
mains power supply and following any power cuts.
• Check that the door stops in the required positions at
the end of the stroke. If this does not happen the magnets
(fi g.20-ref.4) must be moved. If necessary move the limit
switch on the guide (fi g.20-ref.5).
WARNING: to prevent mechanical deformation set the limit
switches to be triggered just before the opening and closing
stops.
MOVEMENT SPEED AND SLOWING
• All opening and closing movements begin at slow speed
and increase to a constant speed after approximately 2
seconds.
• Movement speed is reduced at the end of the closing
stroke.
