Problem solving

Pump
Warning: Disconnect the power and drain the system before
beginning work on the pump!
Problem: Motor runs but there is no flow of water.
Cause:
Empty water tank
Blocked suction pipe or pres-
sure pipe.
Leak in the suction pipe.
Dirt in the pump.
Faulty valve plate.
Faulty membrane (3) (pump
leaks).
Crack in the pump housing
(pump leaks).
Problem: Motor does not run
Cause:
No power on pump circuit.
Loose or corroded electrical
connections.
Thermal protection of motor
has been activated (motor
housing is too hot).
Faulty motor, control electron-
ics or pressure sensor.
Problem: Pump continues to run after all taps have been
closed..
Cause:
Empty water tank
Air in the pump.
Dirt in the pump.
Faulty valve plate.
Faulty membrane (pump
leaks).
Leak in the pressure pipe.
Problem: Low pump capacity or pressure.
Cause:
Dirt in inlet filter.
Pipe diameter is too small or
extremely long pipe length.
Faulty motor, control electron-
ics or pressure sensor.
Drinking water tank systems 42, 61, 88 and 120 litres
Solution:
Fill the tank or disconnect the
power to the pump.
Disconnect and check the
hose.
Tighten the hose clamps and
check the fittings.
Remove and clean the top
half of the pump housing (1).
Replace valve plate (2).
Replace the bottom half of
the pump housing (4).
Replace the pump housing.
Solution:
Check wiring, fuse or circuit
breaker.
Check the electrical connec-
tions.
Wait 20 to 30 seconds until
there is an automatic reset.
Replace.
Solution:
Refill.
Open a tap as close to the
pump as possible.
Remove and clean the top
half of the pump housing (1).
Replace valve plate (2).
Replace the bottom half of
the pump housing (4).
Check fittings for leaks.
Solution:
Remove cover and clean filter.
Increase pipe diameter.
Replace.
Level sensor
Problem: The LED on the top of the sensor does not flash
green, or only does so sometimes.
Cause:
The voltage from the power
supply is too low.
The sensor is dirty on the bot-
tom.
