CAUTION -
Make sure the earthing system is efficient and connected to the special
terminals.
CAUTION -
Do not use intercom or telephone cables.
Note In accordance with the current standards, tie the connecting cables for the
different commands separately (K2 terminal board) from the power cables (K1
terminal board).

OPERATION

After completing the connections as indicated and checking the electrical connections
carefully, turn the power on and check that the system is functioning correctly, as
explained below.

3.1 FUNCTIONING TESTS

When all the connections have been made, it is necessary to check the automation
system.
Power up or restore the power supply and check the behaviour of this device.
When the first Start pulse is given, the automation closes (unless the closing limit switch
is already engaged).
CAUTION -
If, on the contrary, the automation opens, the motor connections must
be inverted.

3.2 TRIMMER ADJUSTMENT

Trimmer P1 - This trimmer is used to adjust the pause time before automatic closing of the
automation, when the automatic functioning mode has been selected. The adjustment
range of the pause time is between 0 and 120 seconds.
Trimmer P2 - This trimmer is used to adjust the intensity of the electronic brake, to
eliminate the inertia accumulated by the gate during movement. The trimmer is used to
adjust the brake delay, which blocks the gear motor during opening and closing. Therefore,
the braking conditions must be adapted to the weight and the inertia of the gate.
NOTE - To keep braking stable in every season, adjust the trimmer by rotating it counter-
clockwise.
Trimmer P3 - This trimmer is used to adjust the motor torque electronically.
CAUTION -
The trimmer is factory-set at the maximum value. Therefore, before
starting the automation for the first time, ensure there are no hindrances.
To reduce the torque developed by the gate driving motor, rotate the trimmer all the way
counter-clockwise.
To increase the motor torque, rotate the trimmer clockwise.
CAUTION -
Adjust the trimmer correctly to exert maximum thrust on the end of the
gate leaf in accordance with the current regulations.
CAUTION -
Every time the automation is started up, the device disables the torque
trimmer for the first 2 working seconds, thus enabling the motor to
supply its maximum force.
CAUTION -
IF MOTORS WITH MECHANICAL CLUTCH ARE USED, in order to
limit the force of the motor follow one of these procedures:
a - Set the mechanical clutch (Fig. 2) to the maximum and adjust the
electronic torque regolation (Fig. 1) - (recommended).
OR:
b - Set to the maximum the electronic torque regolation (Fig. 1) and
adjust the mechanical clutch (Fig. 2).

3.3 OPERATION PROGRAMMING

It is now possible to program the device. The SW1 DIP-SWITCHES are used to select the
operating mode and other accessory functions.
CAUTION -
Every time you program the device, disconnect the electrical power
supply to cancel the previously set program.
DIP-SWITCH 1 and 2 - These DIP-SWITCHES are used to select the following operating
modes.
AUTOMATIC MODE - If you select this operating mode, when a pulse is given, opening
is commanded as far as the limit switch, the gate remains open for the selected pause
time, then it closes automatically.
• If a pulse is sent during opening, the control system ignores it and the gate continues
to open.
• If a pulse is sent or the photocells are activated during closing, the direction is inverted
(the gate re-opens).
