Thank you for buying a Hayward ColorLogic light. Hayward welcomes you to a colorful world, and presents Chromacore ® technology which generates
lighting effects and color shows using a microprocessor to control red, green, and blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
Your ColorLogic swimming pool light has the following outstanding features:
1. LEDs that last up to 10 times longer than incandescent or halogen pool lights.
2. Multicolor lighting with no wheel or moving parts.
3. A selection of 12 different programs, 5 fixed colors and 7 color shows.
4. Low power. Uses about half the electricity required to power an ordinary 100 W bulb.
Fitting instructions for panel/liner swimming pools and for polyester swimming pools
1. Make the cutout in the panel to the dimensions given in Figure II.
2. Feed the niche through the panel, with the metal insert upwards.
a. For polyester swimming pools (with no liner), apply a bead of silicone or of some other sealant compound around the rear of the collar.
3. Line up the holes for the two mounting screws (upper and lower) in the niche and in the panel, and engage the screws. This step can be omitted
for linerless polyester swimming pools.
4. Line up the holes in the rear ring and in the panel. Fasten the niche and the rear ring to the panel with the two self-tapping screws SPX1039Z1.
a. For polyester swimming pools (with no liner), apply a bead of sealant (silicone or the like) over the surface of the rear ring.
5. Line up the holes in the seal and in the niche, and fasten the seal with a little adhesive (the larger holes in the seal fit over the heads of the
self-taping mounting screws).
6. For liner swimming pools, install the liner before proceeding to point 7.
7. Line up the second seal (not necessary for linerless polyester swimming pools) and the front face, and fasten the resulting assembly to the niche
by means of the 10 self-tapping screws SPX0507Z1A (ensure that the setbacks provided in the front face are placed over the heads of the
mounting screws). For a liner swimming pool, pierce the liner through the holes in the front face before engaging the screws (one hole at a time).
The screws pass through the lighting fixture, the seal, the liner, the second seal, the niche, the panel, and the rear ring.
8. When the swimming pool has a liner, cut the liner along the bottom portion of the front face.
ATTENTION: For a liner swimming pool, do not forget to position the rear ring SPX0507D before cementing the niche into the concrete.
