Electric connection

THE ELECTRIC CONNECTION MUST BE
DONE BY A SPECIALIZED ELECTRICIAN.
a - The water pump is 1/2 or 1 horsepower,
depending on the bathtub model, and is
127 or 220 volts, according to the
customer's order.
b - For the water pump installation, the wiring
must have at least a 2.5 mm² gauge.
c - Astra offers the following activation system
options.
I. Sealed switch (do not inclused): on/off
function. Must be installed on the wall
(picture 11).
II. Air switch (Super Deluxe and Gran
Deluxe versions): pneumatic on/off
system. Installed on the bathtub edge,
avoids all risk of electric shock (picture 12).
III. Electronic activator with level sensor:
electronic on/off system. Installed on the
bathtub edge, with an anti-shock panel of
5V. Allows the water pump to be switched
on only if the bathtub is filled with water
(refer to the manufacturer manual)
(picture 13).
d - For safety reasons, install the sealed switch
in such a way that the user has to leave the
bathtub to turn on/off the electric circuit.
e - The electric circuit must be set separate.
This procedure avoids unwished variations
in voltage (picture 14).
f - The water pump must be installed by a
specialized professional and must respect
the applicable standards. The customer is
liable for any changes in the connections.
In case damaged wires are identified, they
must be replaced immediately. To avoid any
risks, this switch must be done by a
professional electrician, or an Astra
authorized techinical assistant.
