D. - Cleaning the ashes.
The cast iron Wood Burner is equipped
with an ashtray located under the bottom of the
wood burner. (See Fig.- 15)
To remove the ashes, remove the cast
iron circular top which hides it, using handle for
the door.
Put the handle in the hole of the plate and
remove it from its position by levering a bit.
Remove the plate from the wood burner
(with protective glove) so as not to hinder the
cleaning of the ashes.
Move the ashes to the ashtray using a scraper
or brush. Remove the ashtray from its position
and clean the ash from it.
VII. - SAFETY.
There are possible risks which must be
taken into account when working your solid fuel
wood burner, irrespective of the brand.
These risks can be minimised if the
instructions and recommendations which are
given in this manual are followed.
Below we
regulations and advice, but above all we
recommend that you use your common sense.
1. Keep
(furniture, curtains, clothes, etc.) at a minimum
safety distance of 0.90 m. away.
2. The ashes must be emptied into a
metal container and removed from the house
immediately.
3. Never use flammable liquids to light
your wood burner.
Keep all types of flammable liquid (petrol, alcohol, etc.) very far away.
4. Carry out periodic inspections of the chimney and clean it when necessary.
5. Do not locate it near flammable walls, or ones which have any type of covering which
may be susceptible to damage from the effect of high temperatures (Varnishes, paint, etc.).
6. Any type of intervention in the H03 TURBOCONVECTOR wood burner must be
entrusted to the official Hergóm S.A.T. or specialised installer.
