Safety information
To prevent injury to yourself or others or damage to
your headset, read this safety information before
using it.
Wearing the headset
When you put on the headset for the first time,
follow the instructions on how to position the
headset on your face correctly. Loosen the headset
first by opening the head strap, and then turning the
adjustment wheel. Put the headset on and tighten
the headset by first turning the adjustment wheel,
and then tightening the head strap. There should
be no pain or pressure on your head, and the face
mask should feel comfortable on your face.
When you use the headset, the headset adjusts the
lenses automatically based on your interpupillary
distance. This setting is on by default. We
recommend that you keep the setting on. Switch
off the setting if the automatic adjustment does
not work, for example due to eyeglasses, sensitivity
to infrared light, or any conditions that impair your
vision. If you switch off the automatic adjustment,
you may feel discomfort.
Lighting
Use the headset in a well-lit environment to get
the maximum performance from the headset's
cameras.
Please be aware that reflective surfaces may
distract positional tracking.
Care and maintenance
Handle your device with care and keep it in a clean
and dust-free place.
Sunlight and external light sources
Do not leave the headset in direct sunlight or strong
ultraviolet light. Exposure to direct sunlight can
damage the optics and display.
Do not shine a laser or an external light source
through the lenses.
Damage
y Do not drop or bend the headset or knock it
against any objects as that may affect the
calibration of the camera lenses.
y Do not scratch the camera lenses.
y Lift the headset by holding the headset body or
the head band.
y Do not lift the headset by holding the face mask
or cables.
y Do not step on the cables. The MR cable is

Damage requiring service
Use only qualified personnel to service the
headset. Contact an authorized service facility if:
y The headset has been exposed to liquid or
dropped.
y The headset has been subject to impact or is
damaged.
y The headset overheats.
y The headset does not operate normally when you
follow the operating instructions.
