Operation
FREQUENCY REGULATION & CONVERSION MODE
Your UPS is compatible with 100-127V nominal input voltage at either
50 or 60Hz. In ONLINE MODE, UPS output frequency will track input
frequency by as much as +/-5 Hz before switching to battery mode.
The UPS will automatically self-confirgure for 50Hz or 60Hz operation
based on utility power conditions at start-up (55 to 65 Hz on startup
results in 60 Hz configuration / 45 to 55 Hz on startup results in 50
Hz configuration / cold-start results in 60 Hz configuration). Frequency
regulation / conversion mode can be used to REGULATE frequency of
the same nominal (such as 60Hz input to regulated 60Hz output) or
to CONVERT frequency from one nominal to another (such as 60Hz
to 50Hz, or 50Hz to 60Hz). Whenever frequency regulation /
conversion mode is turned ON, output frequency is regulated to
+/-0.05Hz of the selected nominal output frequency. Frequency
regulation / conversion mode is available for continuous operation
anytime input frequency is between 40 and 70 Hz.
In FREQUENCY REGULATION / CONVERSION MODE
Maximum UPS output is de-rated by 30%.
Frequency Regulation Settings — Bypass is available
> Set FREQUENCY CONVERSION to ON
> Set OUTPUT FREQUENCY to the same nominal as your input
frequency (to regulate 60Hz in USA/Canada/Mexico, set output to
60Hz)
Frequency Conversion Settings — Bypass is not available
> Set FREQUENCY CONVERSION to ON
> Set OUTPUT FREQUENCY to a different nominal as your input (to
produce 50Hz output in USA/Canada/Mexico, set output to 50Hz)
