1. Safety Instructions

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

• For reliable measurement :
- Wait at least 20 minutes after the last alcohol intake
before taking a measurement ;
- Certain substances may adversely affect the result ;
- Wait at least 5 minutes after smoking.
• Use the device at its operating temperature of between
+10°C and +40°C.
• Use a new mouthpiece for each use. A used
mouthpiece may trap alcohol and the device will display
false results.
• Blow into the nozzle only when the device indicates the
message « Blow ».
• Never use the breathalyzer without a mouthpiece.
• Do not blow into the device when it is switched off.
• Do not block the air extraction vents.
• Do not insert any liquid, gaseous or solid substance into
the device other than the user's breath (e. g. smoke,
food etc.).
• Do not allow the device to be exposed to direct sunlight
or place it close to a heat source.
• Do not drop or subject the device to sudden impact.
• If the device has exceeded its calibration date, you run
the risk of obtaining incorrect results.
