CONNECTING THE BATTERY TESTER
1- Ensure that the area is well ventilated before performing a test.
2- Tester for 6 and 12 V batteries and test of the 12/24 V battery charging system (only 12 V on the START & STOP
batteries).
3- Before performing a test on the battery, make sure that the ignition and the consumers are switched off. Close all the
doors and the boot.
4- Make sure that the battery connections are clean. If necessary, clean them using a wire brush.
Any presence of oxidation between the tester terminals and the battery connectors or between the battery connec-
tors and the battery terminals reduces the effectiveness of the tester.
5- Check that the tester has 6 x 1.5V batteries in the compartment.
6- Connect the negative plug (black) to the negative terminal of the battery. Connect the positive plug (red) to the po-
sitive terminal of the battery.

Analysis
The battery is in working order.
Battery in good condition but low state of charge.
Charge the battery and perform the test again.
The battery is nearing the end of its life. A repla-
cement should be organised.
A problem at the cell level is observed (short cir-
cuit.....). Replace the battery.
The battery exceeds 2000 CCA or 200 AH, or the
clamps are not properly connected.
If neither of these two elements listed above are
the cause, fully recharge the battery and test
again. If the display remains the same, replace the
battery.
