PROBLEM CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. • Brake does not stop blade in
about 5 seconds
Motor does not start.
Flash of light from motor end-
cap when switch is released.
CAUSE
Brushes not seated or lightly
sticking or worn.

Motor overheated from use
of dull blade/too heavy of a
blade, not recommended
accessory or rapid on/off
cycling.

Inspect/clean or replace
brushes (see Maintenance

• Tighten blade bolt.

• 15-Amp time delay fuse or
circuit breaker.
