Penetrating moisture! The monitoring station is not
permanently waterproof. Penetrating moisture can de-
stroy the monitoring station. Do not immerse the monitor-
ing station in water.
Exposure to fire and heat! Excessive heat can damage
the monitoring station or the installed battery. If the
battery is damaged, it may emit toxic substances,
catch fire, smoke or explode. Keep the monitoring sta-
tion away from sources of heat and open flames. Observe
the operating temperature specified in the technical data.
Mechanical damage! Pointed objects such as nails or
screwdrivers or externally applied forces can result in
short circuits, damaging the battery in the transmitter.
If the battery is damaged, it may emit toxic substances,
catch fire, smoke or explode. Protect the monitoring sta-
tion against damage. Damaged monitoring stations must
no longer be used.
Modifications to the monitoring station! Making modi-
fications to the monitoring station can result in short
circuits or hazardous malfunctions. Do not modify the
monitoring station in any way. Aside from the battery, the
monitoring station does not contain any components that
you can maintain or replace. The monitoring station is not
the property of the operator or user.
Damaged or entangled cables! Damaged or entangled
cables can result in short circuits. Do not misuse the
cable for the purpose of carrying or hanging up the moni-
toring station or pulling the plug out of the socket. Keep the
cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges, tools and agricul-
tural machinery.
Hazards caused by unauthorized use! The nature of the
device's design and components can result in hazard-
ous situations if the monitoring station is used by unau-
thorized persons. Store unused monitoring stations out
of the reach of children. Do not allow persons to use the
monitoring station who are not familiar with the device or
who have not read these operating instructions.
Hazard due to small parts! Some of the supplied parts
are small and could be swallowed by children. Store all
parts out of reach of children.
Hazard due to sharp object! The transmitter bracket
has a sharp end that could cause injuries. Handle the
transmitter bracket with care. Only take the protective cap
off to push the transmitter bracket into the ground. Put the
protective cap back on after removing the transmitter
bracket from the ground.

How it works
The sensor rod is used to measure the temperature in the soil
of an asparagus field. The sensor rod is equipped with 4 tem-
perature sensors distributed along the length of the rod. This
measures the temperature at various depths.
The sensor rod is connected to the transmitter. The measure-
ment results are transferred from the transmitter to the Bosch
Cloud via the cellular network. This is where the data is pro-
cessed and saved.
An app installed on your mobile device communicates with
the Bosch Cloud and provides a clear display of the measured
values. Knowing the temperatures in the soil allows you to
plan the use of agricultural film and optimize the quality of the
asparagus.
The Bosch Cloud can be simultaneously contacted by multiple
persons in different locations using the app. The app and the
Bosch Cloud communicate over the Internet.
The end device must be connected to the Internet in order for
you to use the functions provided by the app. The alarm func-
tion, for example, will not work without an Internet connec-
tion.
