2.7 Door switch installation and operation
The door switch should be connected according to the instructions provided in the heater or steam generator user inst-
ructions. The door switch must be installed for the heater so that the timer function can be used. The door switch is al-
so needed for an external on/off button and remote control. If the heater or the steam generator has been preset to
switch on and the door is opened more than 60 seconds after the programme starts, it will stop and the door indicator
light will turn red. In addition, the fault indicator light will flash red and the flashing LED will indicate the reason for the
fault (D). The indicator light next to the door switch, if installed, will also flash (see the connection instructions in the
heater or steam generator user instructions).
If you wish to reactivate the timer, you must press the on button and the door must be shut within 60 seconds.
If the control panel is in the sauna or the steam room, you must leave the room and close the door within 60 seconds of
activating the timer.
If the door is left open for more than 5 minutes during a sauna bath, the heater or the steam generator will automatical-
ly switch itself off.
The recommended door switch is the Helo model with product number 0043233, SSTL 8260371
2.8 External control use
The system can be connected with an external switch or an on/off button which can be used to switch the heater or the
steam generator on or off outside the control panel.
NOTE! This requires a door switch to have been installed.
See more detailed installation and user instructions in the heater or the steam generator user instructions.
If the LED indicator light for the on/off button is on, this means that the heater or the steam generator is on.
A slowly flashing LED indicator light means that the heater or the steam generator has been preset with a timer.
A rapidly flashing indicator light signals a fault. The door was opened over 60 seconds from when the heater or the
steam generator was preset to start. Alternatively the door was left open for longer than 5 minutes. The heater or the
steam generator has automatically stopped.
Close the door and reset the fault alarm using the on/off button on the control panel (C).
