Operation
WARNING:
Risk of electric shock. For use on unpowered wiring
only. Never connect tester to live voltage.
Press
the button for approx. one second. The tester will beep once and the LED
adjacent to the button will glow to indicate the tester is on. If the LED is flashing,
the battery voltage is too low for reliable operation. Refer to Battery Replacement
in the manual and replace the battery immediately.
NOTE: The tester does not turn off automatically. Press the
tester off after use. The tester will beep twice and the LED adjacent to the button
will turn off.
Refer to the Examples shown below for checking continuity and polarity.
Example 1:
Simple Continuity Test
The LEDs will flash and the
beeper will pulsate if there
is continuity.
Use the chart below to interpret testing results.

Example 2: Checking Continuity and Polarity on a Cable
Green LED and beeper will flash and beep slowly
Positive (+) Polarity
Red LED and beeper will flash and beep rapidly
Reverse (-) Polarity
NOTE: If there is a short in the cable between the tester and remote, the green
and red LEDs on the tester will flash rapidly and the remote LED will not glow.
LED on remote will glow green
Continuity with
