Warning: Never connect an InPro 6860 i G with mA
output to a nA input. This could damage the electron-
ics of the sensor and / or the instrument the sensor is
connected to.
The RS-485 signal also includes a MODBUS RTU sig-
nal, for a MODBUS installation and additional material
including configuration tools can be downloaded at

Operation
The sensor is supplied ready for use. Before using
the senor, remove the protecting cap. For continuous
applications we recommend periodic recalibration in
line with your requirements on accuracy.
In case of any failure or malfunction, the equipment
in which the sensor is installed, needs to be in a safe
condition (depressurized, empty, rinse, vent, etc.).

Maintenance
The incorporated Intelligent Sensor Management
(ISM
®
the sensing element as the Dynamic Lifetime Indicator.
Depending on the aggressiveness (CIP / SIP) of the ap-
plication conditions the sensor's sensing element, the
OptoCap™ experiences a degree of stress. Typically,
after 6 to 12 months this part needs to be exchanged
followed by a zero point and air calibration.
This calibration can be performed by using the trans-
mitter's calibration menu and / or using METTLER
TOLEDO's calibration and maintenance software tool,
iSense™.
