Operation
Switching on
• Insert the mains plug in a power socket.
• Image A: always place the Wella PRO-CURL conical securely on a heat-
resistant surface.
• To switch on press
for approx. 1 second.
Image C: you can see the temperature display flashes.
Setting the temperature
• The temperature can be set at 20 °C steps between 140 °C and 200 °C.
– Every time you press the + button, the temperature is increased by 20 °C.
– Every time you press the – button, the temperature is reduced by 20 °C.
• Image C: the set temperature in degrees Celsius flashes until the set temper-
ature has been reached.
• Image D: after approx. 2 minutes, the appliance has been heated up. The
attained temperature now appears permanently in the display.
Switching off
• To switch off press
for approx. 1 second. The display illumination goes off.
• After use, pull out the mains plug.
Automatic cut-out
• If no button is pressed on the switched-on appliance for 45 minutes, it goes on
standby. By pressing a temperature button, you can reactivate the appliance.
• If no button has been pressed on the appliance for approximately 60 minutes,
the appliance switches off completely. To carry on working, press the On/Off
switch
for approx.1 second.

The correct temperature
CAUTION: note that only a few types of hair require the highest temperature set-
ting.
Always use the lowest temperature necessary for good styling results.
You can damage the hair by using too high a temperature, keeping the appliance
in contact with the hair for too long or curling it too frequently.
You should not treat the same section more than once, especially at high
temperatures. - Caution: risk of hair breakage!
The following table shows you what temperatures we recommend for different
hair structures:

bleached, very porous
colour-treated, permed, porous
normal (not treated with chemicals)
strong / resistant (not treated with chemicals)

Styling
Curl dried hair only.
Please note that fine and sensitive hair reacts especially fast to treatment.
The Wella PRO-CURL conical is suitable for any hair ranging from short to long.
The durability of the curls is lower with thick strands than with thin strands. If you
have long and thick hair, separate it into smaller sections of hair. If you have fine
air, work with thicker strands.

General procedure

1. Wash hair, dry and comb well.
2. Separate a strand which has the desired width and thickness.
Risk of burns! During operation the heating element reaches a temperature of
up to 200 °C. Do not touch the heating element and prevent contact with
your scalp and other skin areas. Keep at least 1 cm distance to the scalp or put
a comb underneath.
