DESCRIPTION
This pump has been designed to operate in applications such
as waterfalls, streams, and fountainheads. It can also be used to
circulate the water in your pond. Unique features of this pump
line include a non-clogging vortex impeller, auto-resetting thermal
overload protection, stainless steel motor housing, and the ability
to pass solids with diameters up to .39"/10mm (WGFP-15) or
.98"/25mm (WGFP-33). CAUTION: To prevent damaging the
pump, do not pump abrasives such as sand or mud.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
Read all instructions and Safety Guidelines thoroughly. Failure to
follow the guidelines and instructions could result in serious bodily
injury and/or property damage.
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: This pump is supplied with a
grounding conductor and grounding-type attachment plug. To
reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle. A
separate branch circuit is recommended. Do not remove the third
prong from the plug.

RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: This pump has not been certified
for use in swimming pool areas where people are present in the
water. Do not use the pump for this purpose.
WARNING: Do not use to pump flammable or explosive fluids such
as gasoline, fuel oil, kerosene, etc. Pump should only be used
with liquids compatible with pump component materials. Failure
to follow this warning can result in property damage, personal
injury, or death.
The pump motor is equipped with an automatic resetting thermal
protector and may restart unexpectedly.
Do not handle a pump or pump motor with wet hands or when
standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water. Do not stand
in water while changing fuses or insert your finger into the fuse
socket.
Make certain the unit is disconnected from the power source, all
liquids are drained, and all pressure released within the system
before attempting to service the pump.
This pump has no user-serviceable parts. The motor housing of the
pump is completely sealed and requires no service. Disassembly
of the motor housing or alteration of the power cord will void all
warranties. The power cord on these units cannot be replaced.
Conformity with local and state electric codes is mandatory.
The National Electric Code requires that a ground fault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) be used in the branch circuit supplying sump,
utility, effluent and all fountain pumps, pool pumps and other pond
equipment.
All wiring and electrical work should be done by a qualified
electrician.
Secure the discharge line before starting the pump. An unsecured
discharge line will whip, possibly causing personal injury and/or
property damage.
Do not run the pump dry. It is designed to be cooled by the fluid it
moves. If the pump is run dry it will become dangerously hot, and
could cause personal injury and/or damage to the pump.
The pump's motor housing contains a dielectric oil to aid in
bearing lubrication and motor heat dissipation. This oil is non-toxic
to aquatic life. However, suffocation can occur if oil is left on the
water surface. If oil escapes the motor housing it can be removed
from the surface quickly by placing newspapers on the water
surface to soak up the oil.
Do not lift or carry the pump by grasping of the power cord.
A handle is molded integral with top housing cover for this
purpose.
1. Check the pump label for proper voltage required. Do not
connect the pump to any voltage other than that shown.
2. Plug the power cord directly into an electrical outlet.
