Precautions when switching on and using your Peggy Sage High Performance electric nail file and
to ensure it has a long life:
Diagram showing the rotation speeds for the different bits (rotations per minute / rpm)
1 - Use the file in a temperate room (0-40°C). Avoid dusty or damp places, which may damage
the file.
2 - When unpacking the file from its cardboard packaging, take care not to drop it. The file is
quite heavy; handle it with care.
3 - Never plug in or unplug the electric nail file with wet hands, otherwise you may receive an
electric shock.
4 - Plug the file directly into a mains socket. Avoid using a multiple socket adapter as this may
cause appliances to overheat and may be dangerous.
5 - Your electric nail file must always be placed on a flat, stable and uncluttered surface.
6 - Never use an asymmetrical, bent or damaged bit. Always use Peggy Sage bits. They will all
fit this electric nail file.
7 - Use the rotation speed recommended in the diagram below. Do not exceed the recom -
mended speed for each type of bit to avoid operating problems, thereby ensuring that
your file is safe to use.
8 - Check that the shaft of the bit is always clean before inserting it into the handpiece to
avoid getting dust in the micromotor. Clean the bit before inserting it into the attachment
system.
9 - Make sure that you have pushed the bit down as far as it can go. Turn the locking ring to
lock the bit in place. If the bit is used before being inserted and made safe using the locking
ring this can be dangerous because the rotation may cause it to come out of the attachment
system at any time.
10 - Each time you change a bit, always check that the locking ring is locked before operating
the file.
11 - When the file is operating, do not move the bit locking ring since this may damage the
handpiece.
12 - Before changing the direction of rotation of the handpiece, it is essential to stop the
electric nail file.
13 - We strongly recommend that you use safety glasses and a protective mask while using the
electric nail file to prevent injury from projected pieces of nail.
14 - Be careful not to drop the file handpiece. This could damage the ball bearings that it
contains and reduce the life of the handpiece.
15 - Always replace the handpiece in its storage place when not in use to avoid an unexpected
fall which could damage it.
16 - If your file is not working properly, do not open it or try to repair it yourself. Take it to the
store where you bought it for after-sales service. Only stores approved by the Peggy Sage
distribution network are authorized to provide after-sales service under the terms of the
warranty.
17 - We recommend that you leave a 'test' bit in the handpiece when not in use to extend its life.
18 - If the power cord is damaged, to prevent a hazard it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, after-sales service or a similarly qualified person.
