Measuring Resistance
1. Connect the black test lead to the ʺCOMʺ terminal and the red test lead to the ʺVΩ
2. Set the rotary switch to the Ω position.
3. Connect the test leads across the object to be measured.
4. Read the reading on the display.
Note:
1. For measurements > 1 MΩ, it may take several seconds for reading to stabilize. It is normal for high resistance
measurements.
2. If the input terminals are in open circuit state, overrange indicator "OLʺ will be shown on the display.
3. Before measuring in-circuit resistance, disconnect all power to the circuit and discharge all capacitors thoroughly.
Diode Test
1. Connect the black test lead to the ʺCOMʺ terminal and the red test lead to the ʺVΩ
(Note: The red test lead is positive "+".)
2. Set the rotary switch to "
3. Connect the red test lead to the anode of the diode to be tested and the black test lead to the cathode of the diode.
Then read the approximate forward voltage drop of the diode on the display.
Continuity Test
1. Connect the black test lead to the ʺCOMʺ terminal and the red test lead to the ʺVΩ
2. Set the rotary switch to "
3. Connect the test leeds across the circuit to be measured. If its resistance is less than about 30Ω, the built-in buzzer will
sound.
Note: Before test, disconnect all power to the circuit to be tested and discharge all capacitors thoroughly.
Automatic: Power-off
If you have not used the meter or turned the rotary switch for more than about 15 minutes, the meter will turn off automatically
and go into Sleep mode. To arouse it from Sleep, turn the rotary switch or press the ʺFUNC./HOLDʺ button.
lf you press the ʺFUNC./HOLDʺ button to arouse the meter from Sleep when the rotary switch is in a voltage, current, or
resistance position, the automatic power-off feature will be disabled.
MAINTENANCE
Except replacing battery, never attempt to repair or service the meter unless you are qualified to do so and have the relevant
calibration, performance test, and service instructions.
Periodically wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
Dirt or moisture in the terminals can affect readings. To clean the terminals, follow the steps below:
1. Tum the meter off and remove all test leads.
2. Shake out any dirt that may be in the terminals.
3. Soak a new swab with alcohol. Work the swab around in each terminal.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

To replace the button cells, remove the screw on the battery cover and remove the battery cover, replace the exhausted button
cells with new button cells of the same type, ensure that the positive terminal of each button cell will face the battery cover
when the battery cover is installed. Reinstall the battery cover and the screw.
Warning:
To avoid electrical shock or personal injury, remove all test leads and any input signal before opening the battery cover.
