6 Operation
When performing adjustment work (e. g. adjusting shock absorbers):
Please note
Deformed components may cause a functional failure.
S Make sure that no transverse forces are applied on housing 2, or on the
clamping rod of the HMP−...−KP.
If a sudden pressure drop occurs:
Check the function of the HMP−...−KP−... without work load as follows:
S
Exhaust the linear module HML−...
Exhaust the clamping unit
Push the guide rod by hand into a parking position (press the manual
override at the same time)
Pressurize the parking position on the HMPL−...
Pressurize the linear module in the stroke direction.
The guide tube may move max. 1 ... 2 mm.
Exhaust the linear module
To clamp the guide tube:
Carry out the following steps:

1. Pressurize the compressed air connection of the park position on the linear
module.
2. Exhaust clamping unit and then linear module.
To move the linear module out of a parking position:
First pressurize the compressed air connection for the parking position on the

linear module, and then on the clamping unit.
If there is a change in the work load mass:
Compare the permitted loads with your actual application.
