• Make sure that all your powerline adapters are HomePlug AV
compliant. The PLA491 does NOT recognize or communi-
cate with earlier versions of HomePlug adapters such as
HomePlug 1.0 or 1.1.
• Make sure all your ZyXEL powerline adapters are using the
latest version firmware. You can update your firmware by vis-
iting the ZyXEL website (www.zyxel.com.tw) and download-
ing the latest firmware for your ZyXEL powerline adapter.

additional problem solving suggestions.
How to View a Product's Certification(s)
1 Go to www.zyxel.com.
2 Select your product from the drop-down list box
on the ZyXEL home page to go to that product's
page.
3 Select the certification you wish to view from
this page.
