WINTERISING / DRAINING / TRAVELLING
You must ensure that the Water Heater is drained (unless Frost Protection is turned on and is active. Please note:
The Frost Protection setting must only be used for a maximum of 3 days). This is particularly important during the
WARNING
winter months as a precaution against freezing. To drain, switch off the water pump at either the pump switch or main
switch. Open all the hot water taps in the vehicle and operate the drain valve fitted to the top of the Water Heater.
The drain valve must be left in the 'open' position to ensure all the water drains out (See Fig. 35B).
Please note: The user must ensure that Frost Protection is turned on, activated and remains in operation for the
duration, which must not exceed 3 days. Frost damage will not be covered by warranty.
If it is neccessary to travel with water in the Water Heater, it may be filled before departure. If travelling with water in
the Water Heater, you must follow the below instructions.
To prevent freezing, if temperatures experienced on the journey are below or expected to be below 0°C, the Water
Heater must be operated during the journey to keep the heater above 0°C.
