Non-stick coated
cooking surfaces
Removable grease tray
A
BEFORE FIRST USE
Clean the cooking surface by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened in hot, sudsy
water. When cleaning, DO NOT IMMERSE the unit and do not run water directly
onto cooking surfaces. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Before preheating for first use,
condition the cooking surface by applying a light coating of vegetable oil with a
pastry brush or paper towels, or use a non-stick cooking spray. Wipe off excess oil
with paper towels.
HOW TO USE
1. Plug the cord into a standard outlet. The Power Light (A) will come on. Preheat
the unit for 10-12 minutes.
2. Turn the Temperature Control Dial (A) to high for best browning results and grill
marks. Use the ridged side of the grill for hamburgers, steaks, hot dogs, bacon,
sausages, fish steaks, grilled vegetables, chicken breasts and other meats. Use
the flat griddle side for such foods as pancakes, French toast, eggs, or grilled
cheese sandwiches.
3. Use the cooking chart as a guide for food amounts and cooking times. Watch
foods and turn frequently for more even cooking.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. When finished cooking, unplug the unit from the
outlet and allow the grill to cool completely before
cleaning.
2. Slide out the removable grease tray (B) and pour
off grease into a disposable cup or can. The
grease tray is dishwasher-safe (top rack) or it may
be washed by hand in soapy water.
3. Clean the cooking surfaces by wiping them with a
sponge or cloth dampened with hot water and
dish detergent. When cleaning, DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT nor run water
directly onto the cooking surface.
4. Do not use steel wool pads or other harsh, abrasive cleaners on the cooking sur-
faces as they may damage the non-stick coating. Never spray or apply cleaners
directly onto the grill.
