Area of application
Self-closing fittings with thermostat are designed for hot water
supply via pressurised storage heaters and, utilised in this
way, provide the best temperature accuracy. With sufficient
power (from 18 kW or 250 kcal/min) electric or gas
instantaneous heaters are also suitable.
Thermostats cannot be used in conjunction with unpres-
surised storage heaters (displacement water heaters).
All thermostats are adjusted in the factory at a flow pressure
on both sides of 3 bar.
Should temperature deviations occur on account of special
installation conditions, the thermostat must be adapted to local
conditions (see Adjustment).

Disposal note
Dispose of the battery properly.
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Install S-unions and screw-mount the fitting
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
The cold water supply must be connected on the right and the
hot water supply on the left.
1. Install S-unions (A) and attach the sleeve together with the
max. 10 bar
rosette, see fold-out page II, Fig. [1].
1 - 5 bar
2. Insert filters (C) and screw-mount the fitting.
10 bar
3. Push the sleeve with rosette onto the union nut.
4. Screw the rosette flush against the wall.
approx. 15 l/min
Open hot and cold water supply and check connections
max. 70 °C
for leakage.
35 °C - 45 °C
Operation
After pressing the actuating cap (D), water flow is initiated for a
factory-adjusted running time of 15 s, see Fig. [2].
6 V, lithium battery (Type
After expiry of the adjusted time, the valve stops water flow
automatically and without kickback.
Setting the running time
IP 69 K
cold - right
In order to change the running time, please proceed as
hot - left
follows:
= 5 l/min
1. Activate adjusting mode by pressing the actuating cap (D),
see Fig. [2].
2. Hold actuating cap pressed; water flow commences after
pressing for 10 s.
3. Release the actuating cap after achieving the desired
running time (2 - 180 s).
4. Confirm the set time by pressing the actuating cap twice
(double click) within 2 s.
The running time setting is confirmed by a short water pulse (1 s).
Increasing running time tenfold
• Press the pushbutton cap again twice (double click)
within 2 s following the short water pulse (1 s).
The tenfold running time is confirmed by two short water
pulses (1 s).
If the running time cannot be set, the running time setting is
deactivated. In order to activate the running time, cartridge
maintenance must be performed, but without replacing the
battery, see description in the Cartridge maintenance
chapter.
Warning
Do not stay in the wet area.
Use suitable aids.
