- components to be ordered seperately: ohmic load (02-920-91 or
09-016-10) for controlling low-voltage halogen lamps, to be used
if the loads are too inductive.
NOTE!
- To dim low-voltage halogen lamps with ferromagnetic transformers,
an electronic pre-charge (2 x 02-920-91 or 1 x 09-016-10) has to
be used. The resistor 02-920-91 can reach very high temperatures
(±160°C). During installation, all the necessary precautions with
regard to contact and fire protection have to be taken.
- The dimmer can only be connected to ferromagnetic transformers
that are suitable for dimming. The transformers have to be loaded
for min. 75%.
- Niko advises to dim electronic transformers (even dimmable in
phase control) with the dimmer 09-017(-01) or 09-027(-01) in
reverse phase control. This is good for the life of the load and of
the dimmer and will cause less humming.
- Using the dimmer with a false load can damage the dimmer or the
load and is not covered by the guarantee.
