Safety notes for electrical connection

Both safety outputs (semi-conductor outputs) OA and OB
must be individually evaluated to ensure safety.
The signal output OUT is not allowed to be used as a
safety output.
Incorrect connection can result in malfunctions or damage
to the device. Observe the following notes:
 Do not use a controller with PSDI mode or disable the
PDSI mode on your controller. The device generates its
own PSDI signal on the output cables OA/OB. A down-
stream controller must tolerate this test signal that
could be up to 1 ms long.
 The inputs of a connected evaluation device must be
positive switching, since the two outputs of the safety
switch supply a level of supply voltage U
on.
 All electrical connections must be insulated from the
mains either by safety transformers in accordance with
IEC/EN 61558-2-6 which limit the output voltage in the
event of a fault or by equivalent insulation measures.
 For use in accordance with requirements, a power
supply rated as suitable "for use in class 2 circuits"
must be used. The same requirement applies to the
safety outputs.
 All electrical outputs must have an adequate snubber
circuit in case of inductive loads. The outputs must be
protected with a suitable suppressor (e.g. freewheeling
diodes, varistors and RC elements).
The response time increases in accordance with the
suppressor selected.
