THERMOSTATIC SHOWER MIXER
TEMPERATURE SETTING
The thermostatic shower mixer of your shower column is preadjusted in the factory. However, the characteristics of the test water circuit
may be different from your sanitary installation. In fact, all installations do not permanently have the same operating conditions. As a result,
an adjustment may be necessary so that the degree graduation corresponds effectively to the water temperature either for an initial use
or after the wax cartridge is replaced. You can make this very simple adjustment yourself by following the instructions to the left.
1. After removing the removable stylish cap located on the top of the knob, loosen and remove the setsc−
rew with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the knob.
2. Turn the brass shaft and using a thermometer check until the water temperature is at 38°.
3. Reinstall the removable stylish cap and adjust until its set
mark coincides with the 38° temperature degree graduation.

Minimum service pressure:
Factory set pressure:
Maximum hot water temperature: 50°C
Child safety lock device:
Above 5 bars, install a pressure reducer.
The shower column you have just purchased is equipped with a thermostatic shower mixer, this device automatically controls the mixing
of hot and cold water to assure a hot/cold water mixing stability of plus or minus 1°C. The thermostatic shower mixer installed on the
Valentin shower columns is equipped with two safety lock devices to prevent hot water scalding if the cold water should be cut off.
A/ A 38°C safety lock device (to prevent an abrupt change in temperature during the use by a child, for example). You can deliberately
unlock this device by pressing and holding down the red button and turning the knob to obtain a water temperature greater than 38°C.
B/ An almost instantaneous automatic cut−off of hot water if the cold water supply should stop.
SERVICING OF THE SURFACES
Shower columns with a polymer shell body. They are made of ABS. A protective layer, the PMMA improves the hardness and brilliance
of the column. Use non−abrasive cleaning products to enhance brilliance. Do NOT use scaling substances because they could damage
the column´s surface.
SHOWER COLUMNS MADE OF ANODIZED ALUMINUM
Avoid using abrasive and ammoniated products as well as detergents having a pH higher than 9, which could damage the aluminum´s
surface treatment.
COMPONENTS IN CORIAN
For routine servicing, use a currently used high quality detergent. Avoid abrasive powders and scouring pads. If you should accidentally
spill a corrosive product (scouring agent, stain remover, acid unstopper or acetone dissolvent), rinse profusely with soapy water. Do NOT
forget to rinse with clear water afterwards.
COMPONENTS IN ALTUGLAS
Regularly clean the Altuglas, with a moist cloth and a household detergent. Avoid at all costs trichloroethylene, benzol, strong alcohols
and solvents, in general.
ELEMENTS IN TEAK WOOD
Teak wood is naturally rotproof and therefore very resistant to water attack. However, to avoid its turning grey, it must be protected by
the application of special teak oil at least once a year.
ELEMENTS IN GLASS
Our glass columns are made in "Triplex" glass. Use a detergent with no abrasive agent. The use of a descaling agent is possible provi−
ded the column is thoroughly rinsed with fresh water.
SERVICING OF THE SPRAYERS
HAND SPRAY
The water spray jets are generally equipped with elastomer embossments. Moving a finger over these
embossments will remove the hard water deposits accumulated in them. For other types of sprayers, we
recommend cleaning them with a fingernail brush and soapy water. You may also use stain removers.
HIGH SHOWER HEAD
If your shower column is equipped with one, proceed in the same way as for a sprayer tip.
Side massage shower nozzles. Generally, most shower nozzles are removable and may be cleaned by
simply immersing them in vinegar.
