If the contact closures are simultaneously applied to all tone
terminals, the HORN tone will override the other two tones.
•
If the contact closures are applied to the HORN tone and any
other tone, HORN overrides the other tone.
•
If the contact closures are applied to WAIL and YELP, the
WAIL tone overrides the YELP tone.
Wiring for Single Tone Activation at Power-Up
Make sure that operating power to the siren is off.
The siren can be operated by switching operating power (AC
or 24 Vdc) ON to the siren if a permanent short-wire jumper is
installed between GND and the desired tone terminal of the four-
position connector plug instead of the dry-contact closure.
Connect a 1-inch-long 22 AWG wire between GND and the
desired tone terminal of the four-position connector plug supplied
with the siren. Plug the connector into the J4 receptacle (see
Figure 1 on page 8) on the printed circuit board. Switching ON the
operating power will now activate the siren.
